Suggest Remedy For Severe Vaginal Itching

Question: I had some vaginal itching at lower end of my vagina. Occasionally there was burning when I would wipe or urinate. This continued for several weeks. When i decided to check it out with a mirror because a lump was felt with my finger I rubbed across it and it opened and bled a little but hurt and burned for a while. I applied a colloidal silver gel for comfort and healing. It does not bother me but I have not been sexually active since because that seems to irritate it. I am 68, healthy and active.FAITHFULLY MARRIED for 43 years. Is this something I need to be concerned about.there is not any history of cancer of any kind in my family. We have both been faithful partners all our married life but I frequent public bathroom as we travel often.I also went through menopause at 40. The hot flashes lasted about 7 years but I had no harmone therapy. I do get yeast/candida now and then
Brief Answer:
Diclofenac advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your health issue.
It must be a furuncle which is now in healing phase.
You need to keep your private parts clean and dry always.
Use perineal hygiene solution after taking bath which will keep your vaginal pH in normal range and increase the fighting power against infection.
Take tablet diclofenac three times a day for 3 days and see the response, which in case stays the same then you will need to consult a gynecologist or dermatologist for local examination and evaluation of the extent of the problem and manage accordingly.
Take care

do I need a script for the diclofenac which you suggested, and what perineal hygiene solution do you suggest?also I am assuming a "furnicle" is like an ingrown hair but this was on the inside of the vulva lip where no hair is present. Would that matter in the diagnosis?
Brief Answer:
Try diclofenac for 3 days
Detailed Answer:
Furuncle is a pimple at the base of a hair follicle and thus can occur on vulva but cannot occur in vagina or inside of the mocosa of vulva but irrespective of this it will respond to diclofenac which is most likely available on prescription.
As per your description it seems like furuncle only but definitely a palpation and visual inspection by an expert is needed in case diclofenac fails to cure it.
VWash or Intimate wash are two commonly prescribed good brands which should be ideally used by all sexually active women.
