Suggest Remedy For Severe Weakness And Mild Pain After Recovering From A Knee Surgery

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Dec 2015
Question: I am recovering from knee surgery 7 weeks ago and have been on morphine for pain. Pain is minimal and I am weaning off of the morphine (7.5 mg twice a day). Probably be off by this coming saturday. However, my body is so weak and getting weaker each day. My blood count is normal, I am not dehydrated, anemic, chest x-ray is clear, no cough or congestion, breathing ok, Blood pressure is 130 over 78. I basically have no symptoms except for terrible weakness and feeling cold all of the time. Any ideas on this problem? I will go to hospital soon if this continues.

Brief Answer:
Feeling tired and feeling cold in your peripheries is due to morphine

Detailed Answer:
welcome to health care magic,
from your description i could understand that you are extremely tired and you have cold peripheries not aneamic or dehydrated otherwise you are fine.
morphine is an opioid analgesic used for severe pain the withdrawal symptoms of morphine include cold peripheries and terrible weakness usually this withdrawal symptom will have its peak from 48 to 72 hours and it will gradually decrease and you will become normal in 8 to 12 days.
some people may have severe muscular pain. other than this i do not see any problem in you.
if the symptoms become severe have a consultation with your treating physician
hope this explains to you in detail
