Suggest Remedy For Sinus Headache In An Elderly Person

Concern if headache is progressively increasing in intensity and duration
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. It is important to know low long back you had a fall and the severity of your sinus headache symptoms, any time of the day when it is more and what you do to get relief from it.
2. The paranasal air sinuses are air filled spaces located in the face and around the nose. These serve to condition the air when when it flows in to the respiratory passage.
3. A fall involving injury to the back of your head is unlikely to cause any injury to the paranasal air sinuses. I would like to clarify if you hurt your face and nose at that time.
4. A sinus headache is not a cause for concern but any other problem inside the head and presenting with similar symptoms of sinus like headache should not be ignored and requires clinical examination and imaging investigation like a CT scan head and sinuses.
5. Therefore if the headache is progressively increasing in intensity and duration irrespective of whether you hurt your face or not, then a consultation with your doctor is suggested.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,

Wishing you good health and quick recovery
Detailed Answer:
Hi xxxxxxx,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. Headaches and pain in neck and lower back can be due to mild soft tissue injury and muscle spasm in many cases. This usually disappears in a week following the injury as the muscles recover and I hope your sinus headache does not worsen. However if the ache in your lower back is making your regular activities difficult to perform then please consult your doctor.
Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
