Suggest Remedy For Sudden Sharp Pain In Calf

Question: Thank you: two days ago while walking into a store I got a sudden sharp pain in my left calf; it felt like a deep cramp; now 48 hrs later it just will not go away or improve. I've read up on DVT's and such, but don't wish to panic; any suggestions?

It could be one of many things

Hello.
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Your problem could be one of many things like Calf hematoma, DVT or arterial occlusion.
Please see your GP or Surgeon who can examine you and advice accordingly.
If there is no calf swelling then DVT is unlikely.
Please do get a Color Doppler of the limb done as well as a blood test called D dimer. These will help rule out DVT.
That is the protocol at our Vascular Surgery Center.
