Question: Hi, I recently engaged in unprotected sex with a female friend (this included anal intercourse) and the very next day I noticed that one of my groin lymph nodes was a bit swollen and tender. Could this be a reaction to contracting an STI?

Brief Answer:
RISK OF STI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

A swollen and tender lymph node in the groin region has a high possibility of Sexuallly transmitted infection after an unprotected intercourse.
I suggest an STI screening for Gonorrhoea, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, HIV, Chlamydia as well. If you ask for STI screening the kit includes the testing for all of the above first.
I do not think it may be connected with the liver tumors which were being monitored.

Hope this answers and give you the next steps to go further.
