Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Gout commonly presents as mono arthritis. However when its chronic it can involve a number of joints. In acute gouty arthritis, indomethacin 50 mg can be taken thrice a day. At this stage uric acid fluctuations should be avoided i.e drugs like allopurinol or febuxostat at this stage can worsen the pain.

Kindly answer the following to advise further

When were you diagnosed with gout and how
Do you get these flares often or is it the first episode
What medications are you using for your gout control
Have you been using them regularly or has there been periods where you stopped taking the medication.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
