Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
Do you have diabetes? Are you sexually active? Do you have any discharge? If so is it foul smelling?
Did your doctor examine you? What were the findings?
Zocon needs to be used as single dose.
Metrogyl is 400 mg twice daily for 7 days.
Zocef 1gm single dose is used for suspected gonorrhea.
Zocef 250mg twice daily for 5-7 days for suspected mixed infections.
Did you take these medications as mentioned? If you have taken them like this and there is no relief at all then you need to have vaginal swabs taken for culture and sensitivity tests, so that appropriate treatment can be given.
If it is fungal infection sometimes it takes time to clear. In that case consult your doctor and repeat the dose of Zocon.
Use clotrimazole cream twice daily for the itching.
I hope this helps.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

No doctor I don't have diabetes and I am not sexually active
Yes the doctor examined me..and she found red rashes all over my vulval region( which is not there now) and she just said I had vulval infection
I had past history of similar episode 3 months back and even previous to that and that time I never expected it to be a vulval infection I just thought it to be a uti.and took uti medications ..
I don't have any foul smelling discharge but I had pain while urinating before which still occurs sometimes
She had adviced me to take zocon once for 14 days..
And metrogyl for 7 days..
I am continuing it still (should I stop metrogyl now.?)
Or should i continue it

Brief Answer:
Metrogyl for 7 days is enough.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It is rare to have vulval infection when not sexually active.
Metrogyl for 7 days is enough.
You did not write about Zocef. How many days did you use it?
Just Clotrimazole cream twice daily is enough
There is no need for any wash.
Use cotton undergarments and change them twice daily.
Use mild soap (eg. Dove) for bath and cleaning the vulval area.
With this things should settle down in a week's time.
Drink atleast 2 litres of water daily.
If after one week you still have pain while urinating then you need to get urine checked for culture and sensitivity.
I hope this helps
If you have further queries, I will be happy to answer.

Zocef i had it for 5 days and then stopped it.
I had already done a urine routine and culture sensitivity..the same week i had itching and burning.
The results were nil
So then she had asked me for examination and concluded it as vulval infection and gave me these medicines above
Ill follow what you say and then see for a wee
