Brief Answer:
How did you feel after taking this dosage of 15mg?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for posting on this forum.

I have followed the previous discussion about ativan and the switch to tranxene. These are hypnotic/sedative medications mainly used for the treatment of anxiety and sleep disorders. How much you can take depends on the response to treatment.

I know you increased from 7.5mg to this 15mg. If you are feeling great and think it addresses the concerns better than the 7.5g without significantly reducing your level of alertness, then I have no problem with you continuing on this dose. However, if you have witnessed any side effects that can be linked to over dose like dizziness, somnolence, decreased alertness, etc, I will recommend you reduce the dose.

In all, if you feel great with 15mg and have no side effects attributed to over dosage, I recommend you stay at 15mg. If this is not the case, reduce the daily dose.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thank you The 15mg is what I was taking before going to Ativan without any problems. I only went to Ativan per dr advice and was told by phamacy that tranxene was going to be discontinued?
I would love to stay on tranxene since it always was good for me.
Did you hear about this ??

Brief Answer:
II never heard about it!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.

I have never heard that tranxene would be taken off the market. Pharmacists may be more informed about this. Ask them if they are sure about this.

Why rush and get you of this medication when it has worked so well for you over the years. I will recommend you stick to this medication and only switch should you be unable to lay hands on it. So long as it is available, stick to it and only look for a substitute when it is no longer available, should that happen.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to keep the discussion going if need be.

Thank you so much Dr Ditah you have been so honest with me about staying with tranxene and I feel that I should also. I do feel much better now and did. Go to my dr today and agreed I should go back to tranxene

I love the service this site provides and it makes me feel that I'll always have a place to go to for help and advice.

I would like to give you a review but it doesn't give me a place to do that anymore???
