Suggest Tests To Confirm The Improvement Of DVT Post Treatment
Question: HI Dr. XXXXXXX
Few days back, i have asked about the DVT related questions ( for my wife).. now we have completed taking blood thinner ( claxon 60 mg injection) for 3 months. And my wife does not have any pain.
my question is : what's the test we need to go for now to confirm the improvement on the clot?

Brief Answer:
Needs Doppler study
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to me again.
You need to get venous Doppler of the involved leg . This will tell now , clot is there or not and improvement.
By comparing with the previous Doppler which you had done to diagnose DVT your doctor can tell you how much clot has resolved. It may be partial or complete clot dissolution.
Along with that get PT and INR test which will tell the clotting capacity of blood.
Hope I Have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
