Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Augmentin Taken For Epididymitis
Question: Hi! I get epididymitis generally after masturbation. I have it in my right testicle at the moment. I have started with Augmentim 625 ( amoxycillin and Clavulanate) .alongwith brufen and testicular support. Can you give me the exact dosage and period of medication please. Also as my penis is arched sideways when errect, it twists my right testicle and causes exposes it to mechanical injury due to the movement of the activity. Could this be the reason for getting the problem?

I will suggest you take a urine culture or sperm culture before taking antibiotics. Augmenting do not fall in the class of most commonly used antibiotics. I often consider Quinolones, ceftriaxone or doxycycline for this. In my opinion, stop the antibiotic and get laboratory tests first.
2. Curved penis is a disease(La peyronies’ disease). Please, talk to your doctor for a urologist consult. Take lots of vitamin E and apply some on this area to help with the scarring.
