Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Minoxidil Solution Used For Hair Loss
Question: my age is 24.i am using minoxidil solution usp 5% .i have a doubt regarding dosage.it is given that use 1ml twice in a day.the problem is i can't distribute 1ml solution to my hair in effected area.1ml is insufficient for me.can i take 2ml at a time instead of 1ml twice in a day? is there any side affects if i take 2ml at a time.what are the problems of over dosage? what is the solution for my problem? and can you provide some health tips to decrease hair fall

From the facts you have shared here,I would say yes,you can apply 2 ml 5% minoxidil solution over the scalp starting from the center of the scalp.In fact dosage is depends on the amount of hair loss.
Most probably 2ml will not cause much side effects but the best thing is to ask your treating doctor/dermatologist who knows about your condition well and may guide you to increase the dosage of the solution whether it is required for you or not.
Minoxidil should be used on absolutely clean scalp. You may use solution or oil 2 hours before shampooing hair.
Health of hairs depends on several factors like hereditary, nutritional status, scalp skin health (free from any infection), day to day stress, water you use for bathing etc.
To prevent further hair fall, I would suggest you to take oral tablets containing 'Biotin' (brand name:BTN forte) once daily for 3 to 6 months which will prevent further hair fall.
Use of shampoo and conditioner on regular basis and use of coconut oil to the hair.
Avoid combing in wet hair or dry them with towel and then do combing.
Avoid blow dryers and hair color or dyes if you use them.
Take plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet and remain stress free.
It might take sometime to prevent hair fall (like 4 to 6 weeks) with regular use of biotin and results are usually noticeable over a period of 6-12 months.So till the time,be patient.

1)you have mentioned that minoxidil should be used on absolute clean scalp.what does it mean? Should we use minoxidil after head bath? 2)many people said that we should not take head bath daily those who had severe hair fall.is it correct? Yes,daily head bathing may increase your hair fall,so better to avoid daily usage of shampoo.You may wash your hair twice in a week but NOT daily.
And there is no particular timing to apply it,you can apply per your convenience whether in morning or night.You can also apply 1ml twice daily for maximum response.
