Brief Answer: Same dose - regularly - repeat tests as advised. Detailed Answer: HI. This is the result of the ''irregular'' treatment. First of all Let me emphasize the importance of taking regular treatment. The results are in pmol/L (picomoles per litre) Meaning very very small quantity is required for a healthy life. So even the slight changes in daily doses will have problems with your life. Secondly- T3 and T4 are manufactured by the thyroid gland / TSH is produced by a small gland called pituitary in the brain which controls all the hormonal glands of body. Pituitary senses the low amounts of T3 & T4 in the blood and in response to low levels produces more, which in your case is 16.45 in spite of normal T4 ( you are taking thyronorm) With this report I would advise you to continue the same dose of Thyronorm 100 micro-grams( it is not mg) very regularly if you have no symptoms of hypothyroidism for one month. You have to take one tablet daily without fail on empty stomach the moment you are awake in the morning for 28 days. Stop for 2 days and them repeat the test of FreeT3, FreeT4 and TSH, sample given on empty stomach in the morning and start taking the tablet the moment you give blood. I am sure the reports will be better . If the reports are the same - you may increase the dose to 125. Persistent high TSH is an indication for CT or MRI of the pituitary gland. Ultrasonography of the thyroid gland may suggest for additional thyroid problems
