Brief Answer:
Pigmentation treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Skinlite is a triple drug combination of Mometasone+Tretinoin+Hydroquinone. It is a prescription product used for Melasma/Facial Hyperpigmentation.

It should not be used as a regular cream and in any case not for more than 2-3 months on face since the steroid content of this cream can cause steroid related adverse effects like acne, photosensitivity, skin thinning and atrophy, hirsutism/facial hair growth in females etc.

Hydroquinone which is present in skinlite, is banned in some countries because excessive and prolonged use of hydroquinone can cause a condition known as exogenous ochronosis (a sort of pigmentation due to deposition of homogentisic acid), which is permanent.

Tretinoin content of Skinlite, is an antiageing molecule and though it protects against the atrophogenic side effects of mometasone present in skinlite cream it can make the skin more sensitive to UV rays.

Therefore skinlite cream should be used cautiously and is best avoided.

Rather than using skinlite cream you could use a cream containing other skin lightening agents like azaleic acid (Aziderm cream) kojic acid (Kojivit gel), glycolic acid, arbutin etc. They are slower acting but they are safe even when used over extended periods of time.

I would suggest that you continue with Aziderm and Kojivit gel since you are already starting to notice the improvement with these, and be patient with the results

Remember to wear a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day.

Regards
