Suggest Treatment For Crohn Disease
Question: I have Crohn's Disease and have been in a painful flare for 6 months. I have tried every drug but one which I will start this week (Humera). I am interested to know how long most people spend trying medical treatment before they opt for surgery. If I must have surgery what type of surgeon will I need?

Also that, rate if recurrence after surgery is quote high. Normally general surgeons do such surgeries but in crohn surgical options are not advisable.
Alternate options, which are less pharmacological and have shown benefit include, use of small but frequent diets, high fibre diets, avoiding stress and moderate physical activity are all associated with greater benefits.
