Suggest Treatment For PCOD And Abdominal Cramps

Posted on Fri, 12 Aug 2016
Question: I have pcod for more than 8 years. I was getting periods in the past mostly through medication. Yoga and weight loss helped me getting periods without tablets for sometime (was around 52 kgs). I have gained weight now (I'm around 57 kgs) I'm married now and we are trying for a baby. Its been 70 days since my last period (previous 3 cycles were regular with medication) and I guess i have symptoms which are common for pms and pregnancy ( aching legs, acne, high bbt, cravings, few abdomen cramps now n then, tired, vivid dreams, etc) . 2 negative Urine Preg. Tests so far. Should I go for an ultrasound to deduct pregnancy or should I go for sysron N? I'm sick of this periods problem !

Brief Answer:
Sr Beta HCG test and Ultrasound should be considered after the Gynec Visit

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, welcome to HCM,

I've gone through your query and understand your concern, yes those symptoms can be due to PMS also but pregnancy must be ruled out at first..

No don't go for Sysron N yet..

First of all let me assure you by informing that PCOD patients can go without having periods for several months..so that's definitely a possibility, but since your trying for baby and it's already been 70 days now, i'd advice you to go for a Serum Beta-HCG level and furthermore an ultrasound abdomen off course..

Please do not postpone your visit to the Gynecologist tomorrow, and go for the detailed check-up (as there's also 5 kg's of additional weight gain) and then proceed with the investigations after getting thoroughly check-up and having her confirmation also..

Let me know how it goes later on..

Wish you a good health

Take Care
Kind Regards
