Question: Hello Dr. M diagnosed with pcos in November 2011. Which later on converted to endometriosis cyst. Had laparoscopy n Hysteroscopy in May 2014. Till not conceived. Trying to conceive since 3 years. In October 2014 Dr gave me clomide100 n some injection to induce ovulation as she was trying for IUI but since then in every months follicular study there is problem of anovulation. Now My dr. Suggested me goodova100 for 5 days from 3rd day of period & duphastone twice a day from 14th day. Is my treatment going on a right path or I go for IVF? My age is 31 years n husband is 37 years old. Should we both take Fertisure m & fertisure f ? In recent ultrasound again diagnosed with pcos. Presently taking myocyst XXXXXXX one a day & chrominanc a twice a day.

Brief Answer:
Treatment on the right path.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX

Thanks for asking to healthcaremagic

In my opinion, your doctor has suggested the right treatment for you.

Good ova drug makes the follicle to mature and induce ovulation..Duphastone has been suggested to make your uterus receptive for the embryo.

This treatment with clomid/good ova,may take some time to start work..In fact few courses of clomid/good ova may be needed..But its relatively a safe option and is actually the first line treatment for infertility in patients with PCOS..

In vitro fertilization(IVF) is also effective but better to keep this as a last option if you fail to conceive with subsequent courses of clomid/good ova after certain interval.

I am saying this because IVF procedure carries a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome especially in females who have been trying to conceive with oral drugs like clomiphene/hormone injections.

Regarding fertisure tablets,no need to take both..Your husband can take fertisure M and you can take fertisure F..

Hope this addresses your query. If any further concerns,i will be happy to answer.

Regards

Thanks dr. Fertisure f & fertisure m is for what use? Is there any side effect of these? For how long will we take these medicine? As I am 31 years old n trying since last 3 years isn't it right time for IVF or should wait for some more time..? My husband's semen report was normal but it was done around 1.5 years back..

Brief Answer:
You can wait some more time

Detailed Answer:
Hello again

Thank you for following up.

I understand that you are trying to conceive since 3 years and how it hurts..

Still i would advise you to give a try as your doctor wishes too..

In my opinion, you can surely wait some more time(even till 4 to 6 courses of clomid/good ova) prior to IVF as this procedure may involve relatively more risks as i said previously..

Fertisure is prescribed to improve both of your fertility factors(i.e to improve chances of successful pregnancy)..This mainly contain antioxidants and don't have significant side effects..You can take those until you conceive or even longer or as your doctor prescribed..

Hope there shouldn't be issues on your partner side..Anyway its also better to get semen analysis done for him.

Hope i was of help..Further questions are welcome..If you satisfy with my answer, please give your feedback..

Wishing you all the best

Regards
