Brief Answer:
Chocolate cyst in ovaries recurs soon
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read your query and I understand your concerns about chocolate cysts.
Following is my reply:
1) Chocolate cysts are known to recur frequently no matter what the mode of treatment was.
2) If 2X1.5 cms cyst is seen, this is fairly small in size and can be left alone.
3) There could be associated small endometriotic lesions which are not visible on ultrasound scan.
4) If you are not having excessive pain during menses, leave it alone. Don't get it removed.
5) If you are having pain or trying for pregnancy , undergo laparoscopic removal of chocolate cyst.
Let me know if you have anymore questions.
