Suggest Treatment For PCOS

What should I do?
Consult an endocrinologist.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the query under Health care magic platform.
I have read your query carefully & understand your concern.
PCOS is supposed to be problem in ovulation. Ovulation itself is induced by complex hormonal activities.
So the basic cause of PCOS can be-
1)Hypothalamus pituitary abnormality resulting in gonadotrophinreleasing hormone & luteinizing hormone dysfunction.which are responsible for ovulation.
2)Primary enzymatic defect in ovary or ovary & adrenal glands
3)A metabolic disorder causing insulin resistance results in raised insulin levels in blood.. this in it's turn affect Hypothalamus, pituitary, ovary, adrenal glands. Hyperinsulenimia can result in over activity of male hormone( testosterone...again hampering ovulation..
4)Hypothyroidism/ diabetes are other endocrinal disorders which lead to weight gain & menstrual irregularity... which needs to be tested for & treated as per need.
* Gynecologist focus on stimulating ovulation( cyclical oral contraceptives clomiphene/ inj HCG)/ trying to overcome hyperinsulinemia by weight control( exercises / metformin )/ laproscopic drilling surgery ).
* Though this helps many of patients, ... but when it doesn't, a more detailed & specific hormonal assessment & expertise management of the delicate & complex problem becomes essential.
* So I agree with the suggestion of consulting an Endocrinologist for the better management & promising out come.
I hope the answer was informative & useful to you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
