Suggest Treatment For SLE

Question: my son was diagnosed with SLE. he is on steroids for almost last 2.5 Yeats. He does not have regular symptoms of the disease but his routine urine shows ++ protein. Is there any remedy for this disease and to protect his kidney. he is just 12 years age now.

I would like to review all the records plus the treatment history before commenting further. But based on the details provided, it seems like he is having lupus nephritis. Was a kidney biopsy done ?

Yes, there is treatment for this disease but it can be controlled and not cured . Patient has to be on long term treatment once kidney is involved . So I can tell you exactly after I see his reports .

Steroids are the mainstay for this disease and he is rightly on them but since he is a kid dose needs to be adjusted accordingly . Please attach his autoimmune profile also like ANA , ENA profile .
