Suggest Treatment For UTI And Frequent Urination

Question: Hello doctor, i am suffering grom UTI, from october middle , when it appears first started with fever , frequent urination and all , now no physical symptoms there but urine culture results shows serratia species growth , in september it started as a cervical infection took antibiotics , done papsmear everything comes normal , dr told cervical ulcer there , that causes cervical infection , last month done HVS culture that also showing moderate growth of serratia species, took medicines that r mentioned n last uploads,

You have UTI due to Serratia Species growth in urine culture

These are considered to be opportunistic gram negative bacteria that cause Genito Urinary Tract infection .

You need to take appropriate antibiotic as per culture report like Amoxicillin and Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily

Ensure to drink more water

Hello doctor , thank you . I had already taken many antibiotics since it started on october , the medinices i took are as follows -advaquin ( levofloxacun tablet ) ---urispas tablet for a week . Again as symptoms and fever thr done culture took the following medicines --ropenem ( meropenem for inj) 6 dose ,curam tablets fir 7 days , zynex tables for 7 day. After finishing that culure test done on november shows serratia bacteria took uvamin retard for a month 2 times daily , but no change in culture test but bavteria seems increased , now the dr here i consulting told me no need to take more antibiotics told me to do endoscopy and will do treatment after that , yes dr i am drinking lots of water ,is the antibiotics u precribed is something other than which i took all thses months ,

The antibiotics which I have prescribed are appropriate as per your urine culture done very recently on 19 Decand are different that you took earlier .

Please note that in Chronic UTI there is always change in nature of organisms and their sensitivity pattern hence one has to make frequent changes in medications as per culture report .

Hai dr , i had visited another hospital , they done ultrasound and urine routine and blood test , in that it shows no bacteria but RBC is 6-8 hpf ,prescribed urovaxom tablets for a month, dr s it shows some error in previous blood test done at other hospital ,

Uro-Vaxom is a extract derived from E-Coli organism that cause UTI .It stimulates immune system of the body and is prescribed to patients of recurrent UTI .

However your urine culture has revealed causative organisms to be Serratia species hence I have a doubt about its efficacy in your case There is no harm in having empirical trial with hope to help you .

I will still insist you to take antibiotics which I have prescribed in my earlier reply.
