Suggest Treatment For UTI
Question: My daughter has urine infection.Her urine r/e and culture reports are attached.Please advise the medicine.I have ordered for nitrofurantoin capsules.

From your reports your daughter has significant urinary tract infection.
This kind of infection usually needs to be treated with 2 drugs to ensure complete cure.
I would also prescribe amikacin injection im once a day for atleast 5ndays along with nitrofurantoin .
Then repeat urine culture to see if infection is treated.

Can you prescribe medicine available in bottle because she can not swallow tab/cap?I have cancelled order for nitrofurontoin.

My daughter has taken three doses of septran syrup of 20 ml each.She is feeling itching in her thighs without any redness.Is it side effect of septran and I should stop srptran?
