Suggest Treatment For UTI

Question: Hello Doctor-
I was diagnosed UTI on Friday-July 28 with the following
symptoms:
Fever with chills(101.7)
Flu-like symptoms: Body Ache,Weakness,Muscle Ache
Sour throat
Headache
The urine culture identified E Coli bacteria.
My doctor prescribed me an antibiotic called - Amoxicillin and
Clavulanate Potassium Tablet (875 mg/125 mg). I'm supposed to
take the medicine 2 times a day for 10 days.
I started taking antibiotic on Monday (7/31/17) night.
I'm feeling better with the antibiotic, but I have been having
low blood pressure for last 10 days.
I'm on a blood pressure medication for past 10 years and have
been taking the medicince regularaly (Losartan/ hydrochlorothiazide 50/12.5). I have stopped taking BP medication for last 10 days due to the low-BP (Below 120/80).
1)I'm wondering that why my BP is low after getting infection?
2)Should I start my regular BP medicine even though BP is below 120/80 without medice?
3)What could be possible cause of sudden drop in BP for last 10 days?

Increased urination can cause low bp.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that increased micturition as a result of Urinary Tract Infection can cause fall in blood pressure.
I would suggest that you should monitor your daily blood pressure and take medicine after discussing with your treating doctor.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
