Brief Answer:
Need more details .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband is passing small stones per urethra .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Is he getting severe pain in lower abdomen and loin ?
2) Is the pain tolerable ?
3) Is it associated with vomiting and fever ?
4) Has he done ultrasound scanning of abdomen ?

The urinary stones smaller than 8 mm usually pass out spontaneously .

I would suggest you to consult Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Renal function tests
4) CT Scan of the abdomen with and without contrast to asses the kidney function and any back pressure changes in kidney .

He needs to take antibiotic like Cefixime twice daily and Tomsulosin once daily .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests as regards size and site of the stone and back pressure changes in kidneys etc .

Ensure he drinks more water to produce more urine to help in passing the stone .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
Dr.Patil.
