Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Neck

Question: my son (12 years old) has a lump on the side of his neck, below his jaw. it has grown rapidly over 6 weeks (now the size of a small apple) the lump doesn't hurt, quite hard to touch and does not move. my son has no other symptoms apart from feeling a bit more tired than usual. our GP has made a referral to the ENT, which we are seeing next week. as you can imagine I am going out of my mind with worry. do you have any suggestions of what it could be

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The fact remains that the physician has taken the correct steps.
However, if you want to hasten it, I suggest testing a ultrasound of the neck.
It will help see what the lesion is.
And a better suggestion can be made thereafter.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
