I have gone through your query and attached image with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. I understand your cause for concern especially with the circulating awareness and am happy you decided to report this.
Being a young individual myself, I would like to first understand a few things before we even consider causes that would have to be ruled out when such an appearance is seen. Please write back to me with a response to my following questions as they would greatly help in narrowing down the cause:
+Have you shaved or removed hair from the region?
+Was there any saliva or any other fluid on the region (possible with sexual relations)?
+Did you scratch, bruise or hurt the region?
+Did you feel uncomfortable recently around the region, possibly with a tight brassiere, etc.?
+Please let me know if you are sexually active?
+Any family history of conditions relating to the breast?
+Is this the first time you have experienced such a scenario?

The reason why I would like to rule out some of the most common causes is because acne, shaving and other causes of friction to or around the nipple-areola complex are some of the most common causes for such an appearance especially in young females (younger than 30 years of age) like yourself.

I am sexually active in a long-term relationship, I have tweezed hair around the outside of the areola in the past but have stopped. I believe my mother has bumps on her areolas, but not a wart-looking bump...that I know of. My grandmother had cancer in one breast, though I think that is related to her keeping her cell phone in her bra. I used to wear tight push-up bras but now wear breathable and natural shaped bras. Saliva has been on my nipples due to sexual activity.

Due to a positive history of sexual activity and the possibility of the occurrence of mild bruising to the nipple-areola complex during the process of sucking, biting, or even squeezing there is a chance a bruise which can appear to look like a wart and also the chance of a bump which may resemble a cyst, to appear.
But due to a positive history of breast cancer in the family, I would request you to visit a doctor for a physical examination either way. Not that I am concerned, and although I think your appearance is highly unlikely to be related to anything serious I would be happy to know that all the serious causes are ruled out. Breast cancer is genetical, and if at all there is a positive history, all kin should be frequently checked and should keep a close watch to observe any changes and/or developments in order to allow an early diagnosis.
Currently, in my opinion due to the positive sexual activity and contact of the oral cavity to the affected region, I feel the current presentation should change and return to normal in a few days time (i.e. if this is the cause). In the meantime, make sure you keep the region clean and comfortable and avoid any sexual contact until this heals. But if at all the current presentation does not improve, then there is a mandatory doctor's visit status.
Also, make sure you request your partner to be gentle while working on the particular region from here on. Please do keep me updated on the details of your doctor's visit, and also please repost a picture of the affected region in 7 days time to allow me to observe the changes and improvement.
