Suggest Treatment For A Wasp Sting
Question: I was stung yesterday 08/26/2016 by a wasp and have used the baking soda paste, benedryl, icing, creme and still swelling. Any other options to stop it?Original sting location and current photo
Brief Answer:
not much...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
besides the antihistamine (benadryl) there is nothing more you can do right now. The second image shows much worse inflammation than the first. Just make sure you don't have fever which could be sign of a rather unlikely infection (due to the sting). In soft areas like the one you were stung on the swelling can be more profound than in more firm areas and it may spread more. If it gets worse then I suggest you visit your doctor for assessment. Faster resolution can be achieved with corticosteroids but I don't recommend taking them. If it seems stable or better then give it some more time...
I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!

I drive truck, so its not like i can sit and take numerous doses of benedryl over a 24 hr period so im looking to get much needed relief. Its very warm to the touch, itches, and burns. Are you able to perscribe me anything?
Brief Answer:
no prescription...
Detailed Answer:
No, you can't get a prescription from this website. In patients who need faster relief or when the involved area is too extensive corticosteroids can be used as I've suggested but not recommended. If you'd like you can ask for either prednizolone or prednisone pills. You'd better talk with your doctor first because there are various medical conditions that may get worse with corticosteroids including peptic ulcer, arterial hypertension, glaucoma, diabetes mellitus, etc.
Kind Regards!
