Suggest Treatment For A Yeast Infection
Question: Hello, I had a bad bladder infection that two stints of antibiotics to treat, this then caused me to have a yeast infection. so I treated the yeast infection with Canesten 3 day cream. I didn't have any discharge with the yeast infection, prior to treatment. I just had an itching sensation. However, two days since finishing the treatment for the yeast infection, I have a slight amount of discharge only when I pee. This morning it was thick and pinkish in colour. Is this still the yeast infection? Do I need to continue treatment for it? I was treating it when I was still on antibiotics. They did rule out pregnancy or any stds. I am still mildly itchy but not nearly as badly.
Brief Answer:
Wait for 2-3 days.

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
The discharge does not seem like yeast infection.
It could just be normal vaginal secretions. Wait for 2-3 days. If the itching persists or increases, then it suggests persistent yeast infection. In that case you need to repeat a second course of treatment for yeast infection.
I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
