Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Hernia

Not to worry - a surgeon's opinion may be needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
If I were your doctor, after having a clinical examination of you with special attention to your abdominal hernia, I would if appropriate advise you for some anti spasmodic/anti inflammatory drug for a day or two along with a proton pump inhibitor drug, and if it is simply post traumatic inflammation, the pain will reduce of its own. However, if the pain increases which upsets your routine, I would not hesitate to refer you to a general surgeon for his assessment and opinion for further management. In due course you would be advised to get the hernia repaired by an elective planned surgery.
The disturbance in your periods might not be of much significance at present, unless you are sexually active. In that case I would advise you for a serum HCG test, and an ultrasound of abdomen to rule out any pelvic pathology. Also a gynecologist consultation might be helpful in ruling out chances of any pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) although you have not mentioned any such symptoms now.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
