Brief Answer:
Admission to hospital and specific treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Gastric bypass surgery with re routing of the intestinal tract is known to cause a lot of problems. The Ct scan done will help immensely in diagnosing the problem. If it is diagnosed as dumping syndrome then dietary modifications will be required. If that fails to control the problem then surgical intervention may be warranted. At present one has to ascertain iuf the cause of pain is obstruction or something else. If it is obstruction then admission to hospital may be necessary.
I hope this answers your query.

this doesn't answer my question, I would like to know if there is medication or some form of diet that could assist in this--there is no blockage per scan

Brief Answer:
Reduced carbohydrates in the diet

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If the diagnosis is dumping syndrome then you need to reduce the carbohydrate intake. This can best be done by medical dietician who will study your existing diet and reduce or modify the carbohydrate content.Blood investigations will reveal the blood sugar levels.
No specific medication will help in dumping syndrome. It is only symptomatic treatment that is required.
