Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea

Thank you
You should take further proper treatment after proper diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/64 - diarrhea, pain in abdomen 4 days - light colored flem, slim coming out today - wants to know whether to eat differently or take something - Imodium would work a bit before - but the same thing would happen after except the sharp pain is new - do get check ups yearly - she take a sample but never has said thing is wrong - there is more...
My thoughts as per the history your have provided and considering the age:
Your history is suggestive of colitis and hence with the symptoms you have noted, it is better to get a clinical evaluation, investigations and appropriate treatment as per the findings.
I would advise you the following:
Stool tests for 3 consecutive days.
Tests of blood- the routine and for sugar and thyroid
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Colonoscopy and biopsy if required and advised so.
CT scan of the abdomen if required so.
This will give the most appropriate diagnosis to get the best possible treatment.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.

Gastroenterologist
Detailed Answer:
Preferably with a Gastroenterologist.

Diet: you have to make your own list as explained
Detailed Answer:
I can understand the delay in getting an appointment.
I think you may visit your regular Doctor till then to get the clinical evaluation and possible investigations and may be an appropriate treatment .
Diet:
The most important point is that you have to make a list of the foods, beverages and any other things that are consumed that suit you. This is very important as the problems differ from individual to another hence can not be pin pointed for a particular person.
Also make a list of the foods, beverages that instigate or enhance your problems and to stop them altogether. Prevention is better cure and you alone can know these.
Please do not follow the list made by others, make your own list.
You can certainly distribute your daily requirement of foods and distribute into 4 parts and to be taken as breakfast, lunch, brunch (evening breakfast) and dinner. This will avoid the symptoms.
I hope this answer helps you if you follow your list properly.
