Question: 38 yo male with morning abdominal pain , nausea , occasional vomiting and mucus like stool With stool also looks like tobacco particles. Symptoms have been ongoing for a few years now.

Mucus and tobacco like particles in stool along with the symptoms as you have mentioned for a long time of few years need the following:
- Tests of stool for three consecutive days can be very helpful.
- Tests of blood and urine.
- A course of an antibiotic and metronidazole may solve your problem and needs a valid prescription of your local Doctor.
- If there is no complete relief further tests may be needed like:
Colonoscopy and biopsy.
CT scan of the abdomen, ultrasonography does not show much of intestines well, hence better to go for CT scan of the abdomen.
few years is a long time to suffer without any investigations and treatment, hence get these done asap.
