Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain

Question: Upper left abdominal pain 1.5 hours after eating....for last 8 months...bm changed three years ago 3 different dr. In fl say im fine... its starting to work on my head!!!! need help
Brief Answer:
Gastric ulcer/GERD/cholecyst problems to rule out
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The upper left abdominal pain you feel 1.5 hours after eating might be due to:
- gastric ulcer
- GERD
- cholecyst issues
All of these problems cannot be detected through blood works. Upper endoscopy and abdominal ultrasound are necessary to determine the right diagnosis.
If everything is ok, then, it might be due to IBS. But, first, should rule out organic problems; then confirm IBS (which is functional).
Wish fast recovery!

Brief Answer:
Further tests are needed...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
At this point, I advise to run :
- culture of stool for candida infection
- malabsorption tests
- examination of stool for ova/parasites
Depending on the tests results, specific treatment will be prescribed. Meanwhile, I advise to start taking:
- probiotics
- antacids
- have light meals (yogurt, soups, etc.)
All the best!
