Suggest Treatment For Abnormal Hair Growth

Question: Hi Doctor,

I am XXXX age 24. I have issue related to hair growth on chest. I have been suggested to visit Endocrinologist by a gyanecologist after seeing normal sonography reports. Please suggest me what should i do. Because thick black hairs re growing.

Dear XXXXXXX Hi! welcome to HCM. hair growth on chest is a male feature and is seen in condition with male hormones dominating the normal female hormones. this state is medically known as hirsutism.
Along with excessive hair growth, there is irregularity in periods, oily skin, acne (pimples).
you will need some blood tests to find out the state of hormonal balance.
fasting blood sample given at 8 am on 2nd or 3rd day of periods for
1. LH
2. FSH
3. Estradiol
4. 17 (OH) P
5. TSH
6. FT4
7. Prolactin
8. Cortisol
9. Free testosterone
10. DHEAS
