Suggest Treatment For Accidental Ingestion Of Spoiled Rice Starch

Question: I accidentally made a tablespoon of rice cereal with an ounce of spoiled rice starch formula that had been sitting in the fridge for I think 2 or 3 weeks. He only had like 5 spoonfuls but he kept spitting it out. I then made a fresh bottle of formula afterwards and given it to him( 8 ounces) a little while after feeding him cereal. I didn't know I gave him the spoiled mixture until later. I feel horrible. I can't believe I did it. He has been spitting up a lot. No diarrhea as of yet. Its been about 2 1/2 hours since he was given the bad stuff. No fever. Just spit up. Is he going to be okay. I'm freaking out. He is a day shy of being 6 months old.
Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome
I appreciate your concern
Based on your description, 2 to 3 hours is the time for the food to get digested and absorbed. For the current situation you can only give supportive care if any adverse effects related to the food in question develops.
H 2 blockers , anti emetic , oral rehydration and antibiotics (perhaps) may be required if the baby is symptomatic.
It would be a good option to show him to a doctor to examine the baby.
wishing you best of health
