![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Had to rinse eye for 15 minutes due to a little of the Clorox disinfecting wipe getting into eye. Was wondering could an amoeba infect brain through the eyes. Also water seems to have gotten into nose through the eye rinsing. This occurred at 3 pm but it is now 12 am and it feels as if water is still in nose
Brief Answer:
No need to worry as this will cause any problem.

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic
I am Dr Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.
It seems from the history that you rinsed your eyes in water as a disinfectant fell into your eyes. No need to worry as this will not lead to amoeba infection of the eyes.
The amoeba require epithelial defect in the cornea to cause infection.
If there is irritation you can use antibiotic eye drops, otherwise no need to worry.
If you are having feeling of water in nose you can use decongestant drug.
Hence no need to worry regarding amoeba infection.
Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you.
Thank you
