Brief Answer:
No that is definitely not normal. Gastroenterologist consultation is needed

Detailed Answer:
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

This is not at all normal. It is very serious issue at this age and you need proper treatment to avoid future complications and serious consequences. You need to consult a 'Gastroenterologist' for proper evaluation and treatment. He is trained personnel for treating such cases.

He may run a battery of tests on you that may consist of but not limited to Blood work, H.Pylori bacterial infection of the stomach test, EsophagoGastroDuodenoscopy (EGD) and if needed Colonoscopy to rule out the causes of the hyperacidity and the possible options to treat it.

You may have a bacterial infection and may be in need for a triple antibiotic treatment regimen. Dexilant, a more potent medicine for relieving the acidity may also be added.

If there are some ulcers in stomach and duodenum, its treatment may be needed.

If there will be some issues with the esophagus anatomy, that may be needed to correct.

And due to acid reflux and GERD, if there will be found pharyngitis (throat infection) he may go for antibiotics for that too.

Hope I answered all of your health concerns . If you have further questions, feel free to contact me anytime. Always write my name in start of your question in future, and I will get back to you in no time.
