Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux

Question: I have had barium swallow test, because my dr. prescribed test, He did not find any obstruction. I still have what I think might be acid reflux everytime I drink liquids What can I do to help with this. My Doctor didn't suggest anything to take?

Hello. Thanks for putting yiur query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist.

For acid reflux I will suggest you to take a proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole along with a prokinetic agent like domperidone to be taken half hr before breakfast. Also take tablet pepcid at night after dinner. I found this combination very useful in my patients with acid reflux.

Also avoid tea coffee spicy and fatty meals. Dont lie down and drink water for at least 2hrs after taking meals. Do regular exercise
