Suggest Treatment For Acne On The Back Of A Teenager

Question: My 17 yr old son has acne on his back, but one of these is hard, and turns white around edges when trying to squeeze it. Not sure what to do next...
Brief Answer:
Possible cyst or obstructed sebaceous gland.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,
Sometimes acne pimples can turn into cystic lesions. I advise not trying to open or squeeze it as it can leave a scar or can get infected. I advise applying warm-hot wet compresses on it several times a day for a few days. If it continues to grow and is very painful, then take him in for incision and drainage or removal.
I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can clarify further.
