Suggest Treatment For Acne On The Lips
Question: Weird acne near lips
Brief Answer:
papillomatous growth/wart most likely..
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, welcome to HCM,
I've seen the attached images, it's appearing like a papillomatous growth/wart of the skin..
Don't worry, these are mostly benign growths, however a detailed examination of the area by a Dermatologist is needed.. there's also a need to examine the inner buccal cavity and the underlying gum also, as well as needs to rule out few viral infections..
Treatment options are mainly minimally invasive procedure by curettage/ CO2 Laser etc., can be planned accordingly after the Dermatological examination (in the same day itself)..
Let me know how you stay in the due course..
Take Care
Kind Regards

I am in US right now. These have been on my face for last 4-5 days. Is there anything you'd want me to apply on it? or some OTC medicine?
Brief Answer:
Please Clarify the following....

Welcome back XXXX,
I can understand your concern..
Is it remaining same in the size/shape or increasing ?
Any pain/itching ?
Any other associated problem ?

Brief Answer:
No, it's not perioral dermatitis..
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back XXXX,
Thanks for clarifying..
No, it's not perioral dermatitis, diagnosis is most likely limited to those which I've already mentioned..
Mainstay of treatment is minimal surgical excision procedures only (as I've mentioned)..
Yes, the stretch is due to the growth only, don't do any manipulation over it..just let it be..avoid direct sunlight exposure..
No, in US, the medications are mostly prescription based (there are option like Salycylic acid creams but mainly prescription based only)..
However, the primary choice of management is by Curettage/ Laser excision only..
Just apply your regular moisturizer only(in daily basis, not in excess amount)..
One week should be fine, just get back and plan without any further delay..
Just keep it under observation in the meanwhile and if notice any overgrowth or redness/pain/swelling surround it then only it needs immediate medical attention (chances are quite less, so don't worry).. if at all such events notified, you can get immediate help from urgent care support (you can simply locate them by your GPS only) or even any ER(very unlikely, still i'm mentioning it for your convenience)..
