Suggest Treatment For Acne Scars On The Face
Question: Hi, I have acne and scars on my face for long. I have visited some renowned dermatologists and have been using ointments like sofradex at night and Demelan cream during day time. I use Seba-med facewash. But acne and scars are just not going away. It's majorily on both my cheeks, nose and chin. Lately, i started applying lemon juice, honey, aloe vera gel (some home remedies) but it didn't really work. Please suggest what should i do to cure scars and acne i have on my face. I am 30 year old female.and i really want to

I have reviewed the attached photographs.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to stop sofradex cream as it contains high potency steroid which will cause worsening of your acne although you can continue with the facewash and demelan cream on the marks and scars.
Besides this I would recommend you to take capsule doxycycline 100 mg once daily at night and apply adapelene 0.1 percent gel on the pimples at night.
These are prescription drugs and should be used under the supervision of the doctor.
For better results consult a dermatologist and go for sessions of chemical peels as it will help in treating your acne as well as the scars.

1. I have Acne Act Gel Peel P.H 1.3 (containing Glycolic 30%, Mandelic 20%, Salicylic 15%). Can I use that? If yes, then How frequently should I use this peel..? and for how long should i keep it on my face before washing?

It should be used every 2 weeks and kept for 2-6 minutes increasing the time with every session but under a doctor's guidance.
Capsule doxycycline and adapelene gel needs to be used for atleast 10-12 weeks.
