Brief Answer: relax. Detailed Answer: Hi. Thanks for your query. I understand your concern. Relax, there is nothing to worry. Stool examination report is normal. Acute enteritis is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days. Most important is to maintain and monitor hydration. Give more of breast milk if possible. In case of bottle feeding proper sterlisation should be done. Continue with probiotic for few days. Mother should avoid taking gas forming food items like cabbage, mushrooms, brinjal. Take simple bland diet. Watch your baby for features of dehydration like decreased urine output/refusal of feed/lethargy. In case sympyoms persist get her re evaluated by doctor to look for any dehydration and manage accordingly. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know of I can help further. Wishing your baby good health. God bless.

How many number of stools in one day is normal for a new born baby(1 month 3 days old). The colour of stool sometimes it is appearing yellow, sometimes it is Green. Presently she is taking both Breast feedding & Formula milk(Nan Pro 1 with Probiotics). As of medicine she is taking (1) Calshine P drop(0.5 ml once daily upto 1 year), (2)Syrup Calcimax Plus (2.5 ml once daily upto 2 months) , (3) Zincovit Drop (10 drops once daily). Kindly advice.

Brief Answer: see below. Detailed Answer: Thanks for your follow up. Every baby is different .,some pass 8 to 10 motions per day and some pass stools after few days. Passing green and yelow stools is normal. Most important is that baby should be active and taling feeds normally. Continue with feeding as you are giving. As I mentioned earlier proper cleaning of bottle should be done boil it for 15 minutes before each feed. Continue with supplements as prescribed by your pediatrician. Hope this helps. Take care..
