Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that your son is having chronic adeno-tonsillitis.
Answers and solutions for your queries.
1. chronic adeno-tonsillitis causing snoring, apnoea and recurrent infection for prolonged periods requires surgery. Adeno tonsillectomy is indicated above 3 years, is an elective procedure, can be done both adenoid and removal in single sitting, done under general anaesthesia.
2. Related to procedure- Coblation is associated with less postoperative pain and early return to daily activities. Also, there are fewer secondary infections of the tonsil bed and significantly lower rates of secondary haemorrhage with coblation.
3. Blood parameters and other parameters are slightly elevated, could be due to viral or bacterial infections. I suggest you to have one paediatrician evaluation and antibiotic course before commencing the surgery. Kindly go ahead for removal of both (adenoids and tonsills).
Hope this answers your question.
Wishing you good health.
Thanks for your response. Lot of people including doctors are suggesting not to remove the Tonsils since it protects body from other infections.
Plz suggest if we should really go for the removal of both.
Thanks,

persistence & complications of the conditions requires adenotonsillectomy
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.
As such, tonsils and adenoids may help to prevent infection, they are not considered to be very important. The body has other means of preventing infection and fighting off bacteria and viruses.
In fact, the adenoids tend to shrink after early childhood, and by the teenage years they often almost disappear completely. Generally, you can have your tonsils and adenoids removed without increasing your risk of infection.
Repeated throat infections, ear infections, obstructive sleep apnoea (snoring, mouth breathing and cessation of breathing), stunted growth, behavioural abnormalities and peritonsillar abscess are the indications for removal. If your child fits in this criteria, he requires surgery. Kindly go ahead.
Hope, I have answered your query.
Take care.
