Suggest Treatment For Advanced Stage Lyme Disease

Question: i have late stag lyme. I am in treatment in a clinic which specializes in severe diseases, which includes lyme. The die off( herxheimer reaction) is intense with the protocols used. I know a lot about Lyme for a layman and have made it my "area of special interest". From experience , Ive noted that most, (90% plus) of doctors, natural or ama trained know little about Lyme. My question: As I progress thru treatment the foul ,ammonia like smell is dissipating during my coffee enemas, as are my symptoms. Is there a direct correlation between the strong ammonia smell and level of Lyme ( et al) ???? With me the correlation of feeling better is directly proportional to the lessening ammonia smell. I would really appreciate a decent answer. There is very little accurate information on parasitic infections considering they have been reaking havoc on mammals for millions of years. Why the lack of interest from the AMA ???? thank you Douglas Shinn

Brief Answer:
Late stage lyme and ammoniacal smell during enema

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Ammonia is produced in the intestine from dietary protein, deamination of glutamine via glutaminase and bacterial action ( urease-containing bacteria )in the colon. The intestine is an important source of ammonia generation through the uptake and breakdown of glutamine by enterocytes. In patients with chronic persistent encephalopathy daily enemata (hyperosmolar -both neutral phosphate and lactulose enemata) is generally used to encourage ammonia extraction.Hence enema can give rise to ammoniacal smell to stool, particularly if hyperosmolar enema is used.

Lyme disease can produce acute hepatitis (though less common) in the early stage of infection but no hepatic involvement is known in Late Infection: Stage 3 (Persistent Infection) as it seems to be in your case.
Liver function tests and serum ammonia level will be useful .
Ammoniacal smell of stool is not related to Lyme disease but more with regular use of enema(indication you have not clearly mentioned).

thanx doctor. I am 60% better than when I started these "Lyme" treatments 6 weeks ago. I actually thought it was a hoax but I have seen many , many patients recover remarkably well in 8 to 10 weeks. I am in rapid cleanse to free up the toxic overload from my dcsaily coffee enemas. Thanx for response.

Brief Answer:
Lyme disease

Detailed Answer:
Use of coffee enema to cleanse up the rectum and large intestines is controversial. You may not continue it.More than 90% of patients whose Lyme
disease is treated with the regimens including oral and or IV antibiotics has satisfactory outcomes.Hopefully you will fully recover.
