Most commonly B blockers are used for akathisia
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using helthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
The treatment of schizoaffective disorder is possible and more than two thirds of patients with it live normal or near normal life. Other than this as it is episodic disorder in majority, many times patient manages without medication although it is not a recommended strategy. There is no recent break through or study which says it can be cured but as usual symptomatic treatment is possible.
Similar prognosis holds for ADHD.
I like to emphasize here that people who get psychiatric illness following substance abuse have better prognosis in compare to their counterparts who develop schizoaffective without any inducer or substance.
Regarding treatment of AKathisia B blockers are most preferred medication although few psychiatrists prefer anticholinergics. The example of b blockers are metoprolol, propranolol and lot more.
Regarding treatment of dysphoria the treatment is dependent on severity and primary disorder causng it. For people with mood disorder there may be usefulness of mood stabilizers but for vast majority antidepressant are preferred treatment.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.

Yes it can be increased
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
The effective dose of remeron is 30 to 60 mg and any dose between this range can be effective. If his symptoms are not in proper control that the dose can beincreased to 60 mg after consulting his doctor.
In regard to propraolol it can be increased safely as the current dose is below effective dose. The effective dose of propranolol in adults is 40-240 mg per day and currently he is receiving 30 mg per day.
Having said this a change in medication should be done under guidance of treating doctor and he should be informed before making any change.
I hope this clears the situation for you.
If you have any more questions feel free to write back to me.
Thanks and regards
Thanks again
