Remedy for Alopecia areata
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.
I am Dt. Kakkar (Dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.
Rather than tablet, intralesional triamcinolone acetonide 10mg/ ml (Inj. tricort 10mg/ ml) is the treatment of choice for focal / few patches of alopecia areata. Injection may be repeated after 3 weeks. You may also use minoxidil 5% solution (MX 5% solution rather than MX 2% solution), to be applied twice daily on the bald patches. Response may use take 6-8 weeks.
Regards
