Suggest Treatment For An Abscess In The Buttocks

Question: i have recently felt like I am sitting on something under my left buttcheek. I can't feel anything when I am standing up or laying down. I don't know if it could just be a pulled muscle or what. It's only when I'm sitting a certain way. my let is sometimes sore also when I'm sitting. what could this be?
Brief Answer:
Ultrasound should be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Pilonidal cyst (ingrown hair) or an abscess can be the reason. Even if nothing can be seen, this conditions should be ruled out. It would be good to have soft tissues ultrasound done. You should also consult general surgeon.
Abscess can be drained. Cyst should be removed.
There is a possibility that you have pulled muscle or even a fluid collection due to some kind of injury (if there was any). This should be also visible in the ultrasound.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

could this be serious? I currently do not have any insurance and can't afford an ultrasound right now. could this become serious if not taken care of?
Brief Answer:
You may wait and see.
Detailed Answer:
If you do not have fever and it does not get worse, you may wait and see. It does not seem to be very serious.
