Suggest Treatment For An Eczematous Rash On The Lower Back

Question: I have a weeping rash that began on my lower back and top of buttocks that is spreading around my trunk and hips. I also am beginning to get flu like symptoms and fatigue. I do have a history of eczema that has required steroids in the past. The rash is in clusters is red and relieved with hydrocortisone cream. After it weeps in has turn to hard scaly skin in those areas I have applied the cream to. Im only concerned because I have hay fever like symptoms.
Brief Answer:
Seems to be eczematous rash, upload pictures
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at Healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it seems to be an eczematous rash but I would recommend you to upload the pictures of the rash so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Moreover fever can sometimes be associated with rash if it is viral in origin or associated with secondary bacterial infection.

I uploaded a picture of the rash which spans across my left hip, across my side, and upper/mid hind left cheek. The deep purple is where it has weeped and become hard tough skin slightly raised. It surprises me that it looks so terrible in two days.
Brief Answer:
Either eczematous dermatitis or viral exanthem
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have reviewed the attached photograph and it is looking like either eczematous dermatitis or viral exanthem.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply steroid cream like clobetasol propionate cream or betamethasone cream on the rash twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Chlorpheniramine 4 mg twice daily for 10-14 days.
This should help in resolving it.
Steroidal preparations are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Hay fever like symptoms can be explained due to viral origin of the rash.
