Suggest Treatment For An Infection Along The C-section Scar

Question: What looks like a boil has developed along an old incision line from C-section 25 years ago. Induration around the dark center has me concerned about possible infection. Have tried warm/hot compresses for 3 days, drawing salve and using triple antibiotic with bandage to cover area. Nothing is helping. Had a previous serious strep infection following c-section that developed "tracks" and concerned now it may resemble the same type of infection. Any suggestions? Have Type II Diabetes controlled by diet and exercise. Not on any medications, not even OTC. 5'7" 162#

From your description it seems that you have developed an infection along the C-section scar. This needs a direct examination and culture sensitivity to find out the most suitable antibiotic. Get your blood glucose levels evaluated and start with proper oral antibiotics after consulting your physician. Only topical bandages will npt help. Proper debridement of the area is also needed.
