Suggest Treatment For An Itchy Rash Between The Thighs
Question: I have an itchy rash between my thighs x2wks that doesnt seem to respond to steroid cream x1wk. Hx of psoriasis, but worried it's something else? Pic attached
Hx of Crohn's, on remicade
Use of elidel cream for psoriasis
BC (ocella) x 3 months
Recently started PA school in a very hot and humid climate + sitting a lot
I've freaked myself out that this could be anything from syphilis to cutaneous T-cell lymphoma to something fungal to just psoriasis

Here they are
Brief Answer:
Either folliculitis or acneform eruption
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,
I have reviewed the attached photographs and there are 2 possibilities: either folliculitis or acneform eruption.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply Benzoyl peroxide 5 percent gel or Mupirocin cream on the affected areas twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
This should help in resolving the rash.
Besides this, stay in cool area, avoid wearing tight synthetic clothes, wear loose cotton clothes and don't sit for long hours.
It is not looking like psoriasis or syphillis or lymphoma.
So don't worry.
But if doesn't show much improvement consult a doctor and get it examined clinically.
