default
Posted on Fri, 16 Sep 2016
Question: I think I have an anal fibroma and I would like to check if any surgical action is required.

I would also like to know in detail how and why something like this can surge and if it is dangerous or if I have to take caution in any means.

Brief Answer:
Not dangerous

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Yes,this looks like perianal fibroma and this is not something dangerous and it can't become malignant tumor or something similar. However,it may grow slowly but progressively in future and it would be recommended to remove it since it may cause pain and small bleeding during defecation if it becomes larger. Also, this is now small on narrow base and it can be easily removed under local anesthesia. Wish you good health. Regards
